Are these safe to use? I want to put a 125 watt bulb over each of my 30 gallon hexagon aquariums.

as long as it's rated for use in damp or outdoor spaces it will be safe. if you are setting it on a glass lid you may need to take the glass that comes on the light off

speaking of CFL's (not to steal the thread) would the 3-way ones work with the timer? I know regular one do not.
