i have no idea what these are called thats why im asking they look like lil trees and they cover the top of water ? anybody have an idea

Duckweed, amazon frogbit, water lettuce, and several types of Salvinia are all floating plants with roots growing below them.

Anacharis and hornwort both grow just fine,if not better,if they are not planted.
Hornwort looks like little trees to me,

Sounds like Azolla to me. Fast-growing floating fern. I've always liked it:
