I have one fish compatability question:

I have a 10 gallon hexagon SW tank that is in its first week of cycling. It has 10lbs LS, 5lbs Fiji LR, and 3 Damsels to help it cycle. Once it's cycled, will it be OK to remove the Damsels and slowly add the following?

1 Percula Clownfish
1 Flame Angel
1 Indo-Pacific Blue Tang

I would like to have all 3 of these fish, but understand this is probably not possible in a tank so small. I plan to add the Clown the first month, then the other ones one month at a time. I know the Angel and Clown won't give me size problems, but I'm aware the Tang will eventually grow too large which is OK since I plan to start a 55 gallon SW tank by the late spring/early summer time. If I had to choose 2 out of 3, I would like the Clown and the Angel. Please advise...

Thanks in advance for suggestions!

I would definitely not put the tang in that tank. Even a 55 will be too small. The clown would be fine, but the angel is also iffy for that size. I would suggest waiting until the 55 for the angel. I would suggest the clown (maybe a pair) and/or something else small.

I don't think that you will be able to add much else to that tank if you add a pair of clowns...

Remember, right now you only have a 10g aquarium, and a hex for that matter... that doesn't give much room at all. Clowns are pretty territorrial and if it were me, I would only put the clowns... nothing else!... at least as far as fish...

When you move up to your 55g, then think about adding the angel... many of us plan on moving up, but when the time comes we don't have the room/money/time to do so.

Maybe you should pick up the book "Marine Fishes" by Scott W. Michael to see what the minimum tank size is for certain fish... it is highly informational.

Blue tang really needs to go, the 10 gallon is way to small and he will die off pretty quickly if he is kept in that small of a tank.
The best bet would be the clowns and maybe a shrimp or crab to add a little something extra.
