Anyone keep Mollies with plants and use salt ? Just wondering if there are certain plants that are more salt tolerant than others for this kind of setup .

My tank is brackish - I use marine salt, and have an SG of 1.008. So far my java ferns are doing excellent, as are my marimo, java moss and jungle vals. I did have anacharis and cabomba in the original tank, but once the SG got above 1.005 they did not do as well. I tried bacopa, but the mollies ate it all.

heres a list of brackish tolerant plants from plantgeek. Most, if not all, should do fine between 1.005 and 1.008. But it will depend. I suggest sticking with cheap plants at first and see how that goes.

Many people have noticed better behavior in water high in TDS/SG. Not needed but no reason not to try it.
