I've had this little guy for about 6 months, and he was such a character! After I bought 2 more Bolivian rams (for company, or so I thought) he pushed them around, despite their being bigger than him. Almost daily I would see him push his 'forehead' against one of the other rams and push him away. Such a little ----hole! I'm going to miss him a lot.
But, he got really sick overnight. Yesterday, he was eating, and doing his thing. Today, he's swollen, pine coney, red gills, hardly moving. Awful. So, I looked up the sticky note for humane euthanasia. I used 1 drop of clove oil to 24 oz aquarium water, emulsified it thoroughly, and placed him in the jug. He went to sleep within 5 minutes. Then I added 2 oz vodka, and he slipped away fast after that. This worked better than adding more diluted clove oil, as the mixture tends to lie on the surface, and you don't want to be stirring or anything like that.
Just my 2 cents worth anyway. I got the clove oil at a Natureway, a health food store.
