I just ordered more as well!
Cool! Be warned that during the first week they will probably try to escape so cover any openings. After the first week they seem to settle down more.
My discus tank only has 4 small holes in the top 1" X 2" (and they have equipment through them) so hopefully they won't be able to get out.
MIne settled right down and are berried already. I would really like to set up a brackish tank for them. I bought a 60G that was cut down in height that I am turning into a river tank for my mudskippers. I am trying to figure out how I could seperate part of it for my amanos.
OK, just keep an eye on them. The ones I added to my 75G pleco tank settled right in. The ones that went into the discus tank.....I think were petrified of the large discus. Even after all these months, the ones in the discus tank don't walk around during the day like the ones in my pleco tank do.
I wonder if that's what happened to my Sunkist Orange Shrimp- they're a Caridina species... I bought six at the weekend in an auction... they all swam to the surface and hung on to the water lettuce.
I swear I only see two now (although so many hiding spots they could be in hiding... every shrimp species I've got has gone into hiding the first few weeks). They're not hanging out at the surface like they did to start out with anymore either.
Need to check behind the tank for any tiny bodies.
