Does anyone have any experience with Micro Crabs (Limnopilos naiyanetri)? Are you able to breed them in captivity? I don't think it would be worth the price if they can't be bred. They are really cool looking though!

They're not really that expensive are they?

I'm curious about this too, I've heard so many conflicting reports on breeding.

From what I've seen on their auctions and such, they average $10 each and they're tiny.

I am getting some in next week to try and will have extras for sale. I don't know if people have had viable young yet but they are supposed to breed in full freshwater. I think its feeding the young whihc is challenging.

That makes sense. I read that they eat small organisms. Maybe live baby brine shrimp would suffice?

When you get them, if you can keep them going, then I would definitely be interested in purchasing some. I would rather get them from you than on Aquabid. Do you know approx how much they'll be once you're able to offer them?

It really depends on how well they come in. The freight charge alone to get them from singapore was an extra $150. I am hoping to be able to offer them for under $10 a piece. If they come in well with few losses, that will be feasible.

I didn't just order them, but I got 100 of them. I also ordered in some green lace fan filter shrimp and some more rednose as well as some more zebra shrimp, etc.

Wow! I hope they do well for you. :)

The filter shrimp sound great  Didn't Chris (Arakkis) have the micro crabs for sale also?
