After some newbie problems I've finally got my new 20 gal tropical tank cycled but wanted some suggestions on what to stock in it.

I currently already have 3 male guppies and a pictus catfish in the tank. I have some ideas of what I'd like to put in the tank just wanted to check that versus what some more experienced people would think would work best.

I'd like to add (over time of course):
3 cory cats
1 Dwarf Guorami
and if people think it wouldn't be overstocked 1 angelfish.

Would these get along with the pictus cat?

Would the angel leave the tank overstocked?

Is that enough cory cats?

Would the cory cats get along with the pictus?

On a seperate note I'm planning on hopefully getting a 90 or 55 gal setup for Christmas. Which I want to make a new world ciclid tank and the pictus cat will probably end up in the new tank with a few more pictus buddies.

I appreciate the suggestions in advance.

Is this a 20 gallon long or tall? Either way, no angels IMO.

Corys should have a group of 5-6 minimum in my opinion. If you went with a smaller species like habrosus or panda you would probably be fine.

How large is the pictus now? I dont see any compatibility issues now but a full grown pictus could try to make a snack out of smaller corys.

The pictus is still pretty small. Probably a little less than 3 inches. As long as I keep him fed he hasn't shown any aggression to the guppies in the tank at this point. He mostly hides in my cave decoration except at night. I feed him right before lights out to make sure he doesn't bother the other fish at night. Within a couple of months he should be in a different tank.
