hornwort question

i put some hornwort in my 55g i also have java fern and anubias and the horn wort was floating and it blocked the light and my java fern leafs turned brown i have a shop light with 2- 40 w 48"inch bulbs has any one else had that to happen? thanks for any input
 
I'm not really sure what you are asking, you already explained that the java fern was shaded by the hornwort. Get rid of the hornwort or plant it so it isn't covering the java fern.

The light should be adequate for java fern and anubias.
