Are cabomba good with goldfish? I hear they are a pond plant. And also, are moneywort okay with goldfish. I'm thinking about java moss too. I read somewhere that java moss would be okay for fish aquariums. Is this setup okay? I really wanted to try moneywort, but it can't fit in my 75 gallon aquariums where I have mollies, platies & guppies. Hope this setup will be okay.

Cabomba and java moss are good plants in the aquarium. Never had experience with moneywort so I don't know.

But the goldfish will most likely eat both plants.

Hmm. I'll just keep a close eye out for the plants. This is something I'm just experimenting with and hope that maybe the project will work.

Which goldfish do you have? You better cross your fingers and toes that they won't start devouring all your plants. I keep watonais, ryukins, ranchus, lionhead, orandas, shubunkin and comet and all they spared were my crypts, water lettuce and vals. I haven't experimented them with Java moss and moneywort yet but the cabomba are likely to be destroyed by these fish.

Do a search in General Coldwater forum though and you'll find plenty of plant threads there that will answer some of your questions.:)

Not that I tried very many plants, but the only plants I was able to keep with my goldie were crypts and java fern.

My goldies don't bother anubias, vals, crypts, hornswort or java moss. The java fern, on the other hand, was destroyed by my lionhead. He didn't eat it, but he'd take bites and spit it out.
