questions on a 35 gallon tank

Hi everyone!! This is my first post
Okay so i have a few questions..........

1) Snails- I recently (yesterday) did a pretty deep brake down of my tank to try to get rid of a snail problem, i tried chemicals and killing any of the little buggers by hand when i saw them, but they always come back! they did a real number on my plants some are barely hanging in there, i thought i got rid of all of them but just ten mins ago i saw one climbing on the glass, i was so upset!

what can i do to get rid of them once and for all, I heard that a clown loach could help me out which leads me to my next question......

2) Stocking- currently i have 4 guppies, 4 neon tetras, 2 dwarf frogs, one young molly, one endler guppy, one neon swordtail, and two Chinese algae Eater, I'm in the process of giving away the two algae eaters they are very aggressive toward each other, my tank is very peaceful with the exception of those two fish, how many more fish if any do you think my tank can maintain? What kinds of fish would enhance the look of my tank? i'm looking for new fish to buy but so many choices, and Is my tank big enough to maintain a clown loach?

Clowns prefer a large group to observe their true behavior, at least 3 but preferably 5-7. And even though they are slow growing, their size even as young adults would lead me to not recommend you get them for the size tank you have. I think you have other options for snail control.

Mainly physical removal...try leaving out a large lettuce leaf and remove it when they feed on it. It may take several times to reduce the population significantly. Having a few is really good for your tank.
 
I agree with what Rbishop says. I feed my plecos zucchini and spinach 2 or 3 times a week, and I always put in a little extra to attract the snails. If I leave it in over night, there might be 20 or 30 on there when I take it out. I also have, and you could try this, a figure 8 puffer in my tank that snacks on the snails, too. And it doesn't bother any of the other residents of the tank. Good luck.
 
F8 puffers are nest kept in brackish water & definately will not do well in this tank.
 
Okay so no clown loach, or puffer fish, is there another member of the loach family that also eats snails but stays smaller??

most laoches will chomp on what they can fit in their mouth, even yo-yos...
 
alright so get a yoyo instead of a clown, i read that they can get up to 6 inches thats alot better then the 16 in i read the clown loach can reach, how many do you think my tank can hold? just one??
