I'm in the process of switching my animals to a raw diet and I thought I'd hit up the local Asian market to see what kind of meats they have available for some variety....among the tripe and pig uteri and kidneys and salmon heads, I found frozen wild caught apple snail meat for $2.29/lb. I know I've seen it mentioned in threads that they're edible, but has anyone here actually eaten them or know how to cook them? They're already sans shell and my curiosity has been piqued...even though I keep a couple brigs, I'm not above trying some of their wild brethren if I can find a good recipe. I'd imagine they're kind of like mussels or clams... Anybody know?
