I made a little crap-tastic drawing of my tank for scaping purposes... And I'd like some opinions. I found a lot of cheap plants on ebay that I can order, then new ones will be from there ($.99 and free shipping! yay!). Do you think this looks ok? I will post a photo of the tanks current state later (right now it is holding some sunset hygro and giant hairgrass stems/plantlets as well). I'm also looking for suggestions of what to fill the background/midground space with; there are 60watts of light over the tank. Thanks for any input!

THat looks cool. Are you going to have a tall background plant group?

Looks good, only suggestion would be to pick either the fissidens or the dwarf hairgrass as the foreground plant. Simplicity often looks better than a bunch of different plants, IMHO

Thanks! Yeah I was, but I wasn't sure what plants.

Ok thanks! I was going to have them be 2 different carpets since I already had the dwarf hairgrass, but I will move it down to my 10g which is also in need of plants :)

Here are a couple FTSs so you can get a better idea of the layout:

Woot! I just one 10 leaves of Java fern for $3.11 and a 2" x 2" portion of Christmas Moss for $4.25 (both free shipping)! They are said to arrive in 12 days though, which is a bit annoying as I can get impatient sometimes, lol. The Java fern may not go into that tank, it will probably be distributed throughout my other tanks, but the Christmas moss will go in it's designated place on the flat driftwood.
I was thinking about getting some flame moss for the lava rock, what do you think? Also, what other plants could I add (background or midground)? I would like to do a DIY cO2 system, but I'm not really sure if it will be a) too big to fit on the hood, it could possibly go below and maybe even have another output to the 10g or b)be too big, ugly, and hard to hide which wouldn't be too good since the tanks are in our dining room. Any advice on that would be great.
