some pics, never had them spawn before. I'm having problems though because the krib pair are really beating them up. I'm removing the male tonight. Hopefully itll work out I dont' want to have to remove both the kribs. There are about 50 krib fry that are doing good for the 3rd spawn. I donno... suggestions anyone?

From what I understand as they get older they lose the orange coloration, two of mine have it 1 of them doesn't. On the other hand the Duplicareous keep the orange patch throughout their lives.

Did yours all have it and then one lost it, or did you get them as they are? I've seen lots of large wc adults and they all had the patch. I think you got slipped a Metae!

They all had it when I first recieved them but it has slowly faded over time to the point one no longer has it at all and the other too it is only somewhat noticeable. I got these from a VERY reputtable breeder that is also a well respected member here so I am 1000% positive they are Adolfoi.

Congrats on the spawning! Keep an eye on them with those kribs! The cories are defenseless.

thanks Debbi, I already took the male out which pretty much ended all serious aggression issues. The female stays in her own corner. Later this week when the fry are a bit bigger I'm taking the female out also and leaving the fry with the cories. Then I can condition the cories with blood worms and do some rescaping.

2 of the 3 eggs I saved hatched today. Sure did take alot longer then my bronze cories. I was beginning to think they weren't going to hatch. The eggs were bigger as are they fry. The cories laid 3 more eggs today, not like the 50-100 or so like other cories. I did add 4 juli cories from my other tank but I'm guessing by the size and count of the eggs that these are metae eggs also.

Congrats!! I guess it's possible that the low number of eggs could be due to their not quite being fully mature yet. Or they are eating some of them before you get to see them. In any case, sounds terrific and get your camera out for some pics when you can. Cause as you know......THIS THREAD IS WORTHLESS WITHOUT PICTURES!!!

I've had cory fry in the past and these are defenitely bigger. Hopefully I can keep these 2 guys alive. I have 3 more eggs floating in a contraption I made. You can see it in the pic. I once again have gone to a cory tank... lol I just love these guys

Nice! Pretty tank too. Is that mama?

I think thats the mama even though they're all the same size. i can only tell the mama apart now because a krib took a piece of the dorsal fin out. It's almost grown in now so i won't be able to tell by next week. I'm not sure why the spawn is so low, it might be my fault for spooking them. But they don't spawn at night while i'm sleeping so I'm not sure. The only lay a few eggs at a time for some reason, and they're full grown and healthy
