Kribs and dwarf puffers

Posted this in Cichlids forum but figured here would be better,

Im getting a 29gallon for free soon w/o fish, and trying to decide what to stock it with, iv always been interested in having a pair of puffers and a pair of kribs, if i provide alot of plants and a nice cave for the kribs do you think this combo could work?
 
I don't think it will work too well. Dwarf Puffers are really small (max at about an inch) and require specialized feedings for their small stature. In a tank with Kribs they could easily get out competed for foods. I think that if you could target feed them and ensure they get enough snails to keep their beaks in check then it should work fine but no guarentees. Anyway, hope this helps and good luck.
