I dont think they are dieing so im not scared of that. but something worse i fear is happening. i REALLY hope they arent about to mate right before the move..
theres this ledge and on top of it shading it off is my green leather, they are continually mouthing the surface and brushing it off with their bodies and cleaning it it off it seems.. doesnt this mean theyre preparing for that.. its a realy falt surface.. and they arent doing it to anything besides that specific spot

That is pre-spawning behavior. It does occur before spawns, but isn't necessarily limited to that. They'll sometimes do it and not spawn at all, especially if it is a young pair.
