Do either the Hygro Bold or rotala indica do ok in low-medium light? I have a 20g with an 2-yr old 55W bulb, that is probably only putting out 30-35 watts, but I'm happy of the growth rate of my low-light plants. I also have 2 spiral 13W bulbs over another 20g tank.

I have it in a 20 gallon tall, with 40w of powercompact at 6700k. I don't use ferts or co2 on this tank... more light would reach the bottom if it were a 20 long... so I consider it to do ok in low light, but your lighting may be lower.

really? I have some of these growing in a 4 gallon betta bowl without any serious lighting, just a little sunlight and an led lamp from ikea
