Is my finger leather dieing?

This 'section' if you can call it that (maybe there is proper term im not sure) has curled right over on itself and the fingers are going white. On the main body of the coral there are also some white fingers but not many. Girl at LFS from what I was able to describe to her thinks it may drop off and regen? Or should I remove this coral?

I think this may be an issue from my water parameters described in this ongoing thread

Don't want to clutter up this post with paras etc just yet incase they are seperate issues.

Thanks for your help in advance, M

Keep an eye out. I can't really tell if that white is due to a decline and subsequent necrosis or if it is due to a thick film on the coral's surface. Soft corals will do this in varying intervals in order to cleanse their surface. The slumping may be from the necrosis or from a lack of water flow. What kind of water motion is the coral in? I suggest adjusting powerheads to give it a bit more flow for the time being and see if that makes a difference. Do not aim the pumps directly at the coral, but adjust them to give it higher, indirect flow.

Flow as follows

1 x Pump Set Bioflow 600lph - 132gph
1 x SEIO M620 2400lph - 528 gph
2 x Hydor Koralia NANO 900lph - 198gph (1800lph - 396gph)

TOTAL 1056gph (30 Gal Tank)

I'll deff keep an eye on it. The fingers themselves have gone white. They look like something would be when it has frozen. Im bad at explaining things.

Again, just adjust the flow so that it gets a bit more. You'll know soon enough if it is necrosis, as the tips that turn colors will simply start crumbling away. Keep on top of water quality and get you a better alkalinity kit so that you can start boosting your water (and water change water).

Ive made the flow deflect off the glass back across the coral. Hopefully this will help.

Will keep an eye and deff get a better test kit, for everything.
