The live rock will benefit your tank more then the protein skimmers. So I woud spend more $$$ on the rock and not get carried away on the skimmers (they are good for water movement but not as good as the live rock at filtering your tank).
I have a Seaclone skimmer and I constantly have to adjust it to keep it working properly.

The most advanced gadget devised to keep water clean will never beat nature, which is why live rock is the best.

I agree with the LR suggestions. Why would you want to put 2 protein skimmers on a tank instead of buying 1 that is capeable of handling the total volume?

The two methods supplement each other. The skimmer is there to reduce the load of organics in the water, the live rock is for biological filtration. Neither will substitute for the other, but I agree with the others that the rock is a higher priority.
It's important to get a decent skimmer, though. kpatrick, I bet you would be a lot happier if you upgraded to a better unit. SeaClones are supposed to be pretty dodgy.
