Hi

i need help. A week ago one of my serpea tetras looked sick, was listless and his coloration was pale. Since then my two black mollies got white stuff on them (not ick) got listless and died. Now another sepea is exhibiting the same symtoms. I can't net him right now but he may have columnaris as I think there might be a small white spot on his lip. I had this desease a year ago. I have a 65 gallon tank and have not lost a fish in 14 months.

I went to the LFS tuesday and have been treating (two doses ) of tetracycline. Is this the wrong medicine? I have fungus cure at home and it sounds like that is what I whould have been using. What do I do now. I have 2 large angels, 3 clown loaches, cherry barbs, black phontom tetras and 3 dwarf blue gouramis. Don't want to lose them all.

Thanks.

It kinda sounds like fungus to me, especially if the mollies got it, they seem to be really prone to getting it. Is the coloration kinda like a dull opaque colored white on the skin slightly raised above the rest of the scales?

On the side of the mollie and the serpea I lost it was dull and kinda discolored l but on the back of the mollies it was white. Will tetracycline do it? I have put 3 doses in 2 days apart and don't think I want to dose with any other kind of medicine. What now?
I think another serpea has it. I am suspecting it could be mouth fungus with this one but he is being chased all over the tank and thy may be nipping at his side.

I did a water change yesterday. The fish were flying around the tank. They don't like the medicine. things are a quietier today, except the serpea is being chased around.

Thanks.
