Hello. Here is my 3 days old 40gal long tank. Light Perfecto 48” fixture with 1x8000K , 1x6500K , 1x3500K fluorescent bulbs. Eheim 2215 canister filter .Coralife 9W Turbo-Twist UV sterilizer. Gravel-white, black mixed with Eco-Complete plant substrate. I’m working on DIY chiller as now I have 82F and I’d like to have no more than 79F.
I’m planning to add Milwaukee CO2 regulator MA957.
Plants : 3 types Anibus,5 x Cryptocorynes, 5 x Swords, 3 x Valisnerias and some more if I can fit them.
I don’t know what ferts etc. to use help will be appreciated.
Fishes: 12-15 Cardinal tetra,2-3 guppies,2-3 barbs,2-3 mollies,2-3 swordtail .Any correction will be in great help .I need advice for food too?
Thanks for a great forum and information!!!

What kind of barbs? 2-3 is not a good number for most....Interesting start on your hardscape... I know nothing of CO2 but none of your plants listed really NEED it...

Yeah, nice looking setup !!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking of Barbus tetrazona but???What is your opinion?IF I don't need to add CO2 this will save me a lot of money for my RC cars (-:.I was about to add it becouse everybody talking of that how good it is.

co2 is only necessary for 3wpg and up. Around 3wpg and up, without co2, you will have copious amounts of algae. However, if you stay below 3, somewhere between 2 and 2.5, then co2 shouldnt be necessary

I don’t like to have algae. To stop it I have to stimulate plants grow, right? What else than CO2 I can use?
