get a couple good saltwater books! This helped me out soooo much! They will explain the different equipment you need and how to cycly and tank sizes and everything.

Yes, I would get a good book. I bought a Simple Guide book a couple weeks back to learn the whole deal. It's really not much different than FW, you just add your synthetic SW mix to your water for changes, try to keep things as stable as possible. I just started my SW tank Monday cycling with LR, the ***** of it is, I have to break it down next week and move it half way across the country. :sad

I haven't read the Simle Guide book yet, but I strongly recommend The Conscientious Marine Aquarist by R Fenner and Natural Reef Aquariums by John Tullock. Clear and complete.

Welcome, by the way! Doing some reading will make the whole process seem a lot simpler.
