Hi gang!
I don't know if I'm having a problem or if this is just a normal process ... My Coral banded shrimp has been fine since I got him some 3-4 weeks ago. He comes out and eats when food is put in and he explores in the evenings. He looks perfectly fine but ...
This morning I came out and turned on the lights and my CB is laying (on his back) motionless. I though it was dead and started to grab it out and it scooted away. Now it is again laying pretty much motionless on the bottom of the tank. It was perfectly fine last night, moving and eating as usual. Is this how they act when they molt? A similar thing happened with my emerald crab and I though it was dead and luckily I left it in the tank instead of flushing it ... an hour or so later I noticed what looked like 3 emeralds instead of the 2 I had bought ... turns out one of them had molted.
So is this just my CB going through a molt? Should I do anything in particular or just wait it out?
Thanks!
