ok so i have a 5 gallon tank with a betta and 5 ghost shrimp. i decided one day that the tank looked too bland, so i decided to get some rocks for the tank. i went to my lfs and saw the prices and said forget it. i went in my backyard and got some rocks. i put them all together and it looked spectacular. but now sadly my shrimp have been dying off one by one. and now my betta is slowly dying. i immediatly removed my betta from the contaminated water and put him in a bowl with some fresh water. he is now almost constantly on his side on the bottom of the bowl , but hes still alive cuz i see him go up to the top to breathe. but when he does he has alot of trouble staying at the surface. is there anything i can do? i already took the rocks out.

maybe you should do a waterchange to get most of whatever may be in the water out.
