Just watched a male swimming under the duckweed...grabbed onto one piece and whizzed around the tank like an upside down jet ski.
Pretty clever for a shrimpie...

Yeah They're nuts! Mine hang out upside down on the bottom of the duckweed!
Mine too...but I've never seen that trick.
Usually my RCS tanks are over 50% covered solid with it...this one got cleaned today so it was only 10% covered.
(and yes I dumped all THAT duckweed into an empty tank first to shake out any "hangers-on")
I do have a male that patrols my 75G tank..the WHOLE tank. Must be the alpha male...or maybe he just has a short attention span.
