One of my Cloudy Mountain Minnows has lost an eye. I'm not even sure when it happened but the socket looks healed and clean. What could have caused this?? My fish are in my sig, none are aggressive.

Since it didn't just fall out I'd say one of your fish is more aggressive than you give credit for. Unless it was the Poodle.

Each fish is different. Their general description may be "docile" or "aggressive" but their own personalities could be very different. He may have also rubbed up on a rock etc. Usually there is redness or swelling along with a lost eye. When did you first notice it?

And keep an eye out for someone being a jerk. ;)

Well, my poodle does enjoy a good eyeball or two ;)

I bet it was one of my black khuli loaches. They're always whipping around and seem to aim for the other fish. I even started a thread a while ago entitled "My black khuli loaches are jerks" or something like that. Or maybe it was their cave or driftwood. But there isn't any sore looking mark or redness. I really have no idea when it happened. That minnow is dark and has a bi-lateral stripe the length of it's body and it's hard to see the distinction where it's eye is and I have an algae that keeps growing back and covering the glass so that makes it even harder to see.
