I like your use of minimalism.
I think that I would move that piece of driftwood off to the right or the left. It is right in the center now.

well i took the driftwood out... it was taking too much space for my collectoritis syndrome'
heres a couple pics since the last.... they are in order from the date they were taken
this first pic was shortly after i added my discus back in... they didnt settle well for a couple weeks

the discus were ripping up the HC so i had to cover it with some more sand to keep it down in the pic below and also the discus are a little more settled

What are the tall plants and do they grow to fast ?

that is my limnophila aromatica and yes they grow pretty fast... definately not the fastest growing plant i have had but it does grow relatively fast... but then again most plants grow fast with ferts and co2
