First one is a Largemouth Bass, second one looks like possibly a Black Banded Sunfish.

first one is definately a largemouth bass juvinile. ive caught them before and kept them for a short while. the second one is definately a bluegill, when they are young they have dark stipes going vertically on its sides. it will outgrow it eventually tho.

Well I read some where thats the bass family is our look alike equivalent of the south american cichlids even though there not cichlids just like the ocean look alike of cichlids are some of the fish from the wrasse family like the Halequin Tusk Fish.

I have to disagree. Crappies have spots instead of vertical stripes on their body and their fins are spotted. The fish in question looks like a baby bluegill to me.

well a friend of mine had a rtc that i gave her, i told her it was in to small of a tank but she never got the bigger one she was supposed to, and long story short now she wants a pond so im going to be posting pics of that on the pond threads. well i pulled those guys or gals out of a local pond at a park here, i thought they were cichlids in the lighting i had but soon noticed they were bass and something else. so these guys are going in a tank till they get there pond.
