Hello!

I recently moved my red crowntail from an acrylic 5 gallon to a rectangular basic 10 gallon. The 5 gallon had no trouble keeping warm because it had a heater that came with it, but I'm having a lot of trouble keeping the temperature up on the 10 gallon. We bought a basic heater ( I can't remember the name offhand, sorry!) but the temperature never goes over 70F. My poor cold fish! Does anybody have any suggestions on what good reliable heater I can buy? Price is no object, honestly- I love my Xeno (Warrior Prince) and want him to thrive! I also want to keep him in the 10 gallon if we can- all the better for him to show off his gorgeous self and blow bubblenests.

Thanks in advance

I mostly use the visitherm stealth heaters. I also have a jager heater which is very good.

When I first got into the hobby I bought a cheaper heater and it never maintained the water temp like the two heaters listed above.
The only reason that I did not say the stealth is becuase I just had one go crazy and boil my fish.

I recently bought a titanium heater which I think is really nice because the temperature control is outside of the tank so algae and other mineral deposits wont build up on the temperature control.

Thanks a bunch for all the suggestions. =) It doesn't help that the tank is near the floor, on the bottom shelf of a wrought iron aquarium stand, and the room temperature fluctuates a bit. We'll probably end up putting plastic on the windows just to keep things stable.

A stealth Heater is great. I have one for my 5 gallon. The one I have is made for tanks that are 2-8 gallons, but they have other heaters for bigger tanks.
