I have a 55 gallon with powerheads and an AquaCRemora.

Several months ago I lost my yellow tang, false perc. clown, and several snails and crabs. I've let the tank sit empty for about two months because I think it was parasites that killed the fish (and bad acclimation that killed the inverts).

I had the clown in there for two months prior to that and he seemed fine.

But some have raised the question that I have a water problem. I am quite conscientious about changing water, testing water, etc. so I don't think it's my husbandry.

But what if the water in my new town is poisoning the fish? Is there a way to get it tested?

What should I do?

Do you have a local fish store? He should be able to do your testing. Have your water checked as often as you can. Buy RO from him if possible and quit using tap water. Yellow tangs are VERY tempermental, I have one and I try not to feed him but evey other day. I would try with the water first and just don't use tap anymore. Try putting some LR in which can't hurt.
