Hello, New guy here. I recently set up a 75 gallon fresh water tank to keep our pond gold fish in for the winter, we live in Michigan. I have purchased lots of live plants and we currently have about 20 fish in the tank. I have seen advertised a c02 diffuser and I wonder what this is. How do I know if i need one as I dont like to waste money? Can you offer any tips that will help me cut down on how much time I have to spend attending to this tank? Thanks for your help. KP RTFD

I have a couple questions first:

Why are you bringing the fish in for the winter?
How deep is your pond?
Did you cycle this tank?
How do you plan to keep it cycled during the summer?
What type of fish are currently in the tank?
Is this tank heated?
What types of plants do you have?

I can tell you that goldfish will eat most if not all of your plants. Also if your pond is more than 3 feet deep, your goldfish will be fine.

Welcome to AC! I recommend you start a post in the Coldwater Forum with your questions and more detail if at all possible. More folks will see it there and be able to respond.
