I end up eating a frozen dinner about once a week when I don't have time to cook before work. I just finished one of the grossest frozen dinners yet - Healthy Choice Beef Lo Mein. The best part was the yellow dessert goo. It tasted like an old lady candle. :yuck:

Does anyone have any recommendations for good frozen dinners that are sort of healthy and not too expensive?

The Boston Market line is pretty good.

I dunno if you can find them in your area. But Marie Callendars frozen dinners are my favorite.

I find myself occasionally buying Banquet dinners, because they always seem to be on sale for some reason.. probably not all that healthy though.

Thanks guys. Instead of brands I guess I'm really looking for "flavors" of frozen dinners. Like on the Healthy Choice brand, the pumpkin squash ravioli is really good but the beef lo mein was bad, bad, bad. I hate buying a new flavor only to try it and wish I could throw it away instead of forcing it down.

frozen pizza. most of them are good enough. tried a casa dela momma one by dr. okter tonight and the toppings were really skimpy though.

if you don't like it why not chuck it out? i would. just make a different one.

I take them to work so I'm kind of stuck with the one I grab. I wish I could take a frozen pizza but they are not so hot in the microwave and sort of bad for you.

Anything you consume is sort of bad for you. Breathing is sort of bad for you.

Anything from the Annie's brand from Trader Joe's. :)

I don't mind pizza every once it awhile but if I had it all the time my pants wouldn't fit and I'd probably get scurvy from lack of veggies. :)

If you're concerned about health, try lean cuisine! The BEST healthy frozen foods, I love their chicken club paninis, pepperoni pizzas, lasagna, alfredo fetuccini, rice, meat loaf, everything is super yummy... the only one to stay away from are the cheap ones at walmart. I think they sometimes have the paninis and other good stuff but there's one that I can't recall that's awful. Try going to vons.

If health is not a concern, then try the stofer's regular frozen foods. Same thing as lean cuisine, but with more flavorrr

Be a rebel. I like the Chunky soup series. No refrigeration required.

Kaishi brand is surprisingly good if you like whole grain, high-fiber, high-protein, couldn't recommend flavors off the top of my head. I also like Healthy Choice meals and Lean Cuisine... in my experience, stay away from anything with spaghetti noodles in it. Any other type of noodles seem to make the difference...
