Hi All,

So, I recently picked up a 46g bow aquarium that was used for a reef, I'm not using it for freshwater, so I want to replace the actinic bulb for a 6,700 (right now it's actinic/10,000k on my 2x96w JBJ light.

When I took out the actinic to see the connection, I noticed that it is a straight-pin setup (rather than a square pin), but there are 4-pins on it, and when looking for a replacement bulb, they all seem to be 2-pin straight format.

Are these compatible, or do I have to find a bulb with 4-pins for it to work.

Thanks in advance.

Seth

You will need a 4pin straint pin bulb.

Petco will carry all the bulbs you need, or Dr. Foster and Smith will too.

Yes, it needs to be a 4-pin straight, aka 4-pin linear aka PL-L
Google "96w PL-L lamp".

a little pricier than I would have guessed...
