What is the worst thing that could happen if I used airline tubing that is not co2 safe for a DIY co2 generator? I need to know this because I don't know if my airline tubing (Python professional quality) is co2 safe and I would like to build a co2 generator for my planted ten gallon tank.
The airline tubing says that it is ozone safe, I don't think that matters but I decided it couldn't hurt to mention it.

alot actually. what will probably end up happening is the air line will explode sending the co2 shooting off into the fish tnak. all the fish will die and your aquarium will then explode in on itself too.
mucho headache.
kidding. air line should be good man.

Air is a much more corrosive gas than CO2. Any tubing that will handle air will handle CO2.

Pretty sure I used the exact stuff, if not a similar brand.

haven't messed with co2 much with aquariums(yet) but in other hobby's of mine that use bottled co2, tubing not rated for co2 doesn't take to the quick temp changes that bottled co2 creates and becomes brittle and eventually cracks or expands and pops off.
