I imagine they'd be the same as SW jellyfish regarding care. You need a round (cylindrical) tank to keep jellyfish, otherwise they'll get stuck in a corner.

I've been building a faux-kreisel tank insert to experiment with... you could in theory make a really quick jelly tank by using one of those semiround large betta bowls, or by flexing a piece of plexi into a glass tank, to make it round at the bottom and use your filter return to create circular motion in the tank. the right balance can be hard to acheive though, you don't want very much movement at all, just enough to keep the jelly's off the bottom and top.

I have kept these before! I was amazed to see the thread as I hadn't realized that they had moved into the pet trade. We kept a tank of these when I did research at the University of MN. It was a bit sad to be honest...they are quite sensitive and having very little "skin" even the glass can abrade their tissues. They also seem to slowly starve to death despite measures to feed them. They are really not done any justice by being kept in aquariums...unless something has changed in the 7 years since my experience.
Hope you have better luck than we did.

Cheers,
Sarah

I live in south-west Ohio. I grew up a mile from a freshwater lake that has yearly spawnings/blooms of freshwater jellyfish. I've never been there to see it in person, but they feature it on the news here sometimes. They say it looks like it is snowing underwater, except that the snow goes up instead of down.

Hi All
My name is Len Lehman. I am a retired biology teacher who has been interested in aquaria and terraria all my life and these formed an integral part of my classroom with kids actively involved in caring for the aquaria and doing various research projects. For those discussing freshwater jellyfish, contact Dr. Terry Peard at Indiana University of Pennsylvania who is a local authority and researcher of these largely ignored inverts. Dr. Peard is a close personal friend and while I was actively teaching, he frequently came to my school and brought live specimens with him. He has had many years of experience growing these under laboratory conditions and can help in many ways. His main research at present is locating sites in Pennsylvania where they are located. I believe he has told me that there are 4 species in PA>

PS My main interests in aquaria are Killifish and in terraria, carnivorous plants.

As to the round aquarium. Does anyone know if a hex would work? Or does it really have to be round?

I don't think a hex would work because it still has corners. It would be neat to keep a jelly but not if they are as bad as has been stated.

Looks like a "jellies only" tank is required. Hopefully someone will show up who has more experience with them. Interesting, but probably not in the captive category. Thanks to everyone who's shared so far.
