A few Newbie Questions!

OK I have a 29g tank that I started up about 3 months ago...I let it cycle and everything...Started out with 3 black skirt tetras...went back to the store and saw some rainbow fish got 3 of those and 2 more tetras....Finally completed it with what I wanted last which were 5 Tiger Barbs....

Now all of the fish get along and the Tiger Barbs don't bother and of the tetras or the rainbow fish...I got a few questions (might sound stupid but this is the first tank I ever had :huh:)

1) What kind of catfish/bottom fish can I get that will keep the tank cleaned but not get too big

2) This may sound bad, but if I wanna get rid of the tetras or rainbow fish can I just bring them into the pet store and donate them or whatever? Will they take them?

3) Can any other barbs go with Tiger Barbs? Like cherry barbs etc? The guy at Petsmart said a quick no and didn't explain when I asked him..(he seemed like he wanted to go home lol)

I am a big fan of Corys

I doubt that the big box stores will but the lfs/ mom & pop usually will

I have had tanks with several barbs without any trouble.

Cory’s will help with the food and what not the hits the bottom, but they will need to be feed sinking foods as well.

As far as taking fish to a pet store you will have to ask the store them self. You could hit someplace like crags list and give them away there.
 
We are not allowed to take fish back to our store but I'll tell you a secret.... Bring the fish in when you ask because it's harder to say no when you have them in a bag or container. (SHHH)

And yes alot of the barbs can go together. Good job on the tiger barbs- The more you have the calmer they are.
