I have a shot at what I think is a good deal on a 240L acrylic tank setup. The seller shared these pics of some bubbles in a seam. He said the tank is 3 years old, and these bubbles have been there about 2 years. There has been no changes in them for the whole 2 years. Should I be worried, or should I finally get my monster tank and be happy?

I personally would be concerned. Anything over 150 gallons IMO, should be bought new, because in any fault usually the manufacturer will replace it.

You could get it a re-seam it yourself? I read alot of people doing that on here :)

Not on acrylic tanks, repairing acrylic tanks is very hard to do.
Personally i woud not buy that tank.

there are seams in an acrylic tank? i would go with a big not worth it in this case, unless you have the ability to fix it properly and you can get the tank super discounted because it has a defect.

Only if the cost of buying the tank, and having it professionally repaired was cheaper than a new one, would I even think about this tank.
Sure it may not leak now, but who's to say after you move it that it wont leak?
How cheap is it?

I do not like the location..and acrylic repairs are tough, unless you do a sloppy DIY silicone job on the interior....that fixes a leak but doesn't add structural integrity.

Well, it was $900 with stand, canopy, filters, lights, and livestock. I knew if it sounded that good, it must not be. Well--thanks for the input, and help me find a deal on a 240L acrylic tank!
