Here's my tank! First is before, second is after. The rest is just random pics I've taken. Please comment on before and after, I like to know what you guys think!
I have yet to add the decayed leaf liter as it is still soaking in the garage sink. I'll post the pic with the leaves when I put them in.
Also, what are some small-ish amazon fish that the angelfish won't eat, that fit in my 30 gallon, and that school?

That driftwood is insane! I wanna buy one of those! It looks neat. Just make sure there's space for the Angels to swim comftably!

That doesnt change the PH or anything like limestone does it? I really like the look.

Not at all, ice queen. It's really cool because it has the darker wash on one side, and a redder, brown wash on the other side so I can mix and match. Cool stuff, It's supposed to be tile floor that I got at Home Depot, but I just broke it into pieces with a hammer.

I'm going to go spread it around, it's a little tight, I noticed that before.
It's just some maple I got in the forest across the street from us. Cool stuff, only took me about an hour to find just the right pieces. :)

So i can just go to home depot and break some up? I have been wanting to put natural stone in my tank with my angels but I was afraid I would screw something up.
Do I have to soak it before I put it in? Anything else I should know?
Your Tank looks great.

Thanks, icequeen!
I guess for me, ignorance is bliss (well, until something goes wrong)
But with mine, I was fine! I didn't soak it or anything and there's lots more colors to chosse from like brown, white, and pure black. Make sure to PM me when you get it! :)

Just a quick rinse shoud do the job for the slate. A lot of people use slates to hold down driftwood.

Hahahaha, go ahead, I won't tell! :)
Christiantor is right, all you need is a quick rinse, or maybe a short soak, around 5 minutes.
But watch how you place them! They could fall and break your glass.

Just a few more pics, to show they have ample swimming room in the back and front :)

I'm looking at some Silvertip Tetras, or Rummynose to add some color and movement to my tank. Would they school and swim in and out of my driftwood?

UPDATE:
Just put the clean, soaked, waterlogged leaves in the tank.
I am so starting a new trend, highly littered tank! :nilly:
Comments?

So you just went and put a bunch of rotting leaves in your tank? you dont think that will affect water chemistry at all?

The leaves will actually lower the pH, and provide me with a nice substrate for the Angelfish. Doing water changes every other day, even though some ammonia and nitrates will be released during this change, I will be able to quickly take care of it. The leaves also simulate the Amazon, with the tea colored water and the substrate of decaying leaf litter.

Doesn't look like DW, are those willow branches?
FindingBlemo

They're actually Maple branches. Not DW, but they look like an Amazonian root system.... to me, at least. ;)
