:jaw-dropping: Hi all I have been lucky enough to be asked to try out the new Aquaray tile and give my feedback.
After some playing about with fixing it to one thing and another, I built a quick frame and hey presto.
It came with the Aquaray control unit which was simple and easy to set up with a mind blowing result of dawn to full sun dimming down to sunset and moonlight.
I may well be sold on this set up, what do you think?

Sorry lots of pics.

Looks interesting. You have it mounted pretty high, though. I wonder what the PPFD readings on it would be and the pricing, as well...

My lfs is using 9 or 12 of these above a new shark tank they are building which will be mounted 9 feet above the tank.
As for the price as far as I know they are around £220 for the light and £80 for the controller.
How would I go about measuring the PPFD?

PPFD is a unit of PAR... You would need a PAR meter / quantum meter, like an Apogee MQ-200 (http://www.apogee-inst.com/bqm_spec.htm).
