Sorry if this is in the wrong place and/or the title is wrong.
In stores only at Petsmart, a 125Gal new tank with light hood for only $380.
Is that a good deal...?

yeah not a bad price. want a tip though? When you go in and look at it try to see if there are any marks on it or dings in the hood, etc. tell them you want money off it. They always do that in our store and the get the money off (SHHH)

I called three Pet Smarts in my area and they all said" none of them carry anything larger than a 75 gal". The ad says " available in store only" what a Joke!:confused:

I just went through something similar. I found that only some Petsmarts carry the larger tanks. Of three in my state, only 1 carries larger than 75G tanks. However, I was quoted that same price:
$380 for 125
$360 for 120
includes glass canopies and lights.
Anyone know if Petsmart tanks are of the same quality as local fish store tanks ordered directly from Perfecto or Aqueon?

That is what I would like to know also. The TopFin has a plastic strap in the middle and most other big tanks have glass.

My 90gal has plastic strip in middle.

My 120Gal has no strip, both of my 55Gals have plastic. I don't see an issue with them, but I don't see how they help any. Since plastic bends and they are attached from the inner bottom lip, they really aren't doing much other than annoying me.

Not sure if I consider it a good deal. My LFS sell the Perfecto 125gal for $219 (the last time I checked). I think it's another $50 for the 3 glass top.

Only some petsmarts carry the 125g because it depends on the size of the store itself and if its a smaller petsmart then no they wont carry it. Mine carries up to 125g and they come complete with full hood.

Well the three stores i called all said 75gal. was the largest they carry and they are all larger stores!

There may be some good deal at the local Petco in your area. I saw the Petco in Cherry Hill NJ selling 120gal (48x24x24) for $199. They also had a few basic 75/90 gallon wood stand for $37 each.
Check with your local Petco, there may be some deal there.
