How would you classify this platy?
I think Yellow Hybrid Platy is pretty close.
These have a little orange in them but the others in the tank at the LFS were more dull/all yellow.

Those are commonly known as marigold wag platies or sunset wag platies.

its a marigold alright but i thought sunsets looked different, thought they had more red to orange ratio. or i could be a complete idiot and find out the 2 are the same fish.

Thanx, they were just labled "platy" at the LFS.

Thats unfortunate that your LFS doesnt label there fish properly...:(

...and I agree, looks like a marigold platy. A sunset platy is different looking. ;)

looks like i got some extra value when i bought them, i found some fry in the tank this morning.
