so whats your take on these pesky lil buggers? i recently noticed a drastic increase in numbers of them in both my tanks. any sugestions? i picked alot of them outa my small tank but most of my live rock in the big tank is rather large so i havent messed with it alot as of yet. i know dr foster and smith sell a little trap thats nifty n werks good from what ive heard, but i was just wondering as i have heard conflucting stories about them. are they beneficial or harmful to a reef tank? i took 3 cups of them out..enuff of em to cover bottom of a coffecup..lol! so ive been kinda wonderin..lol. thanks for n e info yall!

cool! ill leave the lil critters to themselves then and reduce my fish n coral feedings. think ill do a big removal of them from the big tank, like i did the small one though..lol. theres like 30-50 i can see when i feed so theres aloooot more than that in there im sure. ill look up fireworm too so ill know what one looks like. thanks!

It looks to me like the fireworm is red with white fans and is a little shorter, stouter. The bristleworm looks skinnier with smaller bristles and sometimes a color change halfway. I'm just going by the contrasting pictures because all I have is the sedentary worms, fan worms, and the spirobis worm. I hope I helped!
