When someone lists the aquariums they have setup ( or just own in storage empty), what do you consider a lot of aquariums?...
What's a normal amount for a hobbyist?.

There's no normal with this hobby. Sooner or later MTS sets in and it's all downhill from there. =)

There a lot of aquariums and too much aquariums. A lot of aquariums would be a lot of aquariums that you can maintain properly and too much aquariums is if you don't have the time to actually take care of the every tank.

If I had 60 aquariums, let's say 10-20Gs each, I'm gonna need a lot of free time to do Water Changes on all of them. Also, if you can't afford to maintain it, you should have less. I would have tons of aquariums I didn't go to school and my parents were rich. :)

An average is gonna be hard because not everyone can keep as much aquariums as I can. Usually someone has a show aquarium and then two smaller tanks with other fish in it.

That wasn't the question, but some people spend most of their time with their aquariums and they are OK with that. Granted they are not usually hobbyists anymore or retired.

one breeding tank for each type of fish:
Ok three for cichlids, one for livebearers, one for bottom dwellers, on for saltwater, on planted, and then some to raise fry in

I have 5 and spend alot (most) of my spare time doing something with them. Weekends are fun!!!!!!!!!

If you have to ask, you're just looking for someone to say you're normal.

in the hobby, anything is normal.

outside, more than 1 is abnormal.
