I have a bronze cory that has recently been found just sitting (vertically, nose up) behind my heater. He/she sits on one of the suction cups all day. It doesn't appear stressed, and if I jiggle the heater it swims away and then perches right back up. I'm kind of worried because I have two cories that are recovering from fungal infections (I still think I might lose one :().

Is this behavior normal? I am thinking she might be getting ready to lay eggs or something...idk. I've never had cory cats before. Ideas?

I'd say he's trying to stay warm. What temperature is the tank water at?

If it's that warm then maybe not. Maybe there is something else that the fish just likes about that spot.

I guess - I'm just curious to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this. It's kind of cute if he just likes it. :)

I wouldnt worry my corys are always in odd places. Sometimes they rest in the plants way up off the bottom of the tank,or they all croud together almost on top of each other. :screwy:

Yeah - the other day three of mine were sitting in a cave all facing each other in a circle. When their meeting ended, they all swam out, one at a time. They're really cool! I just wish they were really healthy! (I think I got a bad stock :()
