Here are a few pics of my male African Bullfrog (aka Pyxie Frog). I've had him a little over a year and in that time he's quadrupled in size. He currently lives in a 40 gallon rubbermaid tub.

I have considered doing this, what do you do about heat? Do you use a lamp?

I have a lamp on the top. I cut a hole in the lid where the bulb fits through. I also have a small under tank heater under the tub. Above where the UTH is I have a 12"x12" ceramic tile so that the frog can't burn it's self.

I wondered if a UTH would work on plastic, thanks now I know:)

Thanks!
No, the ones commonly called Pacmans are Ceratophrys ornata and they're from South America. My frog is Pyxicephalus adspersus and it's from Central Africa. But they both act very similar. They're mainly sit and wait ambushers.

Trust me, that cricket didn't last for long. ;)
Here's a pic of my frog when I got him at the end of October in '08. He was about the size of a 50 cent piece.

Thanks CC.
No, that's Eco Earth. It's basically shredded coconut husks.
