4 1/2 hours after putting a tank bred ocellaris clownfish in my tank, and he is still swimming up and down and side to side in the front of the tank very rapidly. Is this normal behavior or is something wrong? He hasn't even ventured to the live rock in the back of the tank>

Reasonably normal, especially for brand new additions. Turn the lights out and leave it be for the next couple days. Look for any obvious problems in the meantime, like rapid breathing, scratching, paleness, lesions, excessive mucus production, etc.

I have a saddleback clown, and he will be doing that two hours after the lights are out! I will be laying down to sleep, and check on my sleepless clownfish, swimming as if he was riding on a galloping horse.
The one time I saw him sleeping for sure, he was tail up in the air, face down on a rock.

You can try adjusting your power heads. My fish tend to like the stronger current. They look like they are really swimming fast, but that is not the case, it is just that the water stream propels them into the current it when they flutter head on in the jetsteam.
It does sound fairly normal, as many of mine did that after adding them.

Hi.
My one was also going up and down. But after one hour it settled and came to normal swimming.
