I wanted a stand to hold four 10 gallon tanks along with a larger tank on top. Ended up building a stand that holds two 10s on the bottom, two more 10's above them, and up to a 45 gallon on top:

I figured it would be a while before all four 10 gallons were used, but they all have fish already. Two have Midas cichlid fry (few weeks apart in age), the third has Green Texas cichlid fry, and the fourth has Clown Loaches that I brought home and found ich on before they were out of the bag. The top tank is currently a 20 high. :)

The heaters are 50 watt Visi-Therm. The stand is right at 48" tall. It is designed so that if I need more 10 gallons I can turn them so that the short side faces out and have four on each level instead of two.

That looks like a really great stand and tank set-up. Congrat's.
