I was wondering if anyone has had luck ordering live rock online. Unfortunately here in Iowa there is basically nothing to choose from. So that seems to be my only option. So if anyone knows of a reputable place with a GOOD quality product, for a good price. I would be very appreciative.

Thanks in advance!

I just ordered some from Tampa Bay Saltwater (http://www.tampabaysaltwater.com) and have total confidence in what I will be receiving. Read the testimonials!

I usually order from gulf-view (http://www.gulf-view.com) and have always been very happy.

Both of those companies get good feedback on the boards. My experience with Tampa Bay was excellent.
Dr Mac and Sons (http://www.drmaccorals.com/sys-tmpl/door/) also gets rave reviews.

While I haven't placed my LR/LS order with him yet (waiting till I get back from vacation), I CAN say that Dr. Mac is one of the nicest, most helpful people I've ever spoken with. Spent time with me on the phone and answered all my questions and gave some good advice.

Thanks a lot!! I really appreciate the fast feedback. I do have another question though. Now that I've looked a little. What is a good kind of live rock to buy? Fiji, Tonga, etc ...

Not really sure it's all Greek to me. What will look the best in the tank.

Depends on what you want. From what I read (no personal experience) the live rock from the PAcific (Tonga, Fiji, like from Dr Mac) can have more interesting shapes. However, it has flown halfway around the world, and a lot has died off. The aquacultured rock from the gulf (TBS and Gul-View), is shipped rapidly and has a ton of interesting stuff on it.
