I on the other hand have had issues with mine. I have two not shut off, one i stopped before things went bad, the second I had boiled over $190 in fish. I had one more that decided not to shut off out of water.

Never had a problem with any of mine, thankfully. I consider it one of the more reliable that are on the market. On large tanks, I use two, splitting the tank requirements between them. Hopefully this will aid in case of a failure if one ever sticks on and also minimize how far the tank temp would drop if one fails to come on.
