I finally got rid of my guppy grass in my flat tank but now the plant which I thought was Wisteria (but apparently not?) has taken over my tank. At first I didn't think it would survive out of the water but its doing pretty well.

Looks pretty cool... its bending backwards to get more of the light from the shop lamp. Can anyone ID this plant?

That's not the emersed form of water wisteria. I'd say it has to be the emersed form of, um..... something else.

Yeah I always assumed it was wisteria until I checked online and compared photos. I got a small 1 inch sniplet for free a while back and forgot about it.

I looked at some databases for stem plants and I didn't really see anything that matches... Anyone else wanna take a crack at it?

Water sprite it is. Too bad it doesn't flower... I'll let it grow but it looks like its starting to succumb to its own weight and make a uturn back into the water...

I'd have guessed water sprite too...

... not that I have any clue and it would be... just that... a... guess.

I've never grown water sprite myself- but I've read it is often confused with water wisteria.
